Series of unfortunate events...
How to make lemonade out of lemons? Today was a good day to learn. One of favorite summer activities is boating. This has been an off year though because for one reason or another we have only been able to go one time as a family. We headed to my hometown to visit my parents realizing this would be our last chance for the summer. We are headed to the the lake today when our brakes start acting crazy. We take it to a local place and they say we need them fixed. Chris decides he doesn't think it's that pressing but decides an hour later that maybe we should get it done.... Just to be safe. We tell my dad about it and he informs us that the place we want to fix it at has an owner who was just arrested for manslaughter. Ghaaa! So we scratch that idea and head somewhere else. In the meantime Connor realizes he has no shoes. He starts to have a bit of a freak out when we tell him we are going to be eating lunch while the car is fixed. The making lemonade out of lemons part?? Austin offers to give up his flop flops for some church shoes that happen to be stashed in the car. What a saint. As for boating? Still at the brake shop with 6 kids.....waiting. Probably not going to happen this time. But on the bright aside, Austin is giving us a good laugh in his epic shoes.
P.S a big aluminum display wheel just fell on Scarlett's toe. Good times.
